The Wednesday Supper began in March, 2019, serving nutritious meals to an average of 60 people every Wednesday, and almost to their year anniversary had to suspend their dinners due to Covid-19. July 1st, 2020, the crew started serving meals again, curbside this time. It’s not as social or fun, but it gives everyone a chance to connect with each other and the community. One day, they hope to be able to invite people in to dine; in the meantime, they’ve repainted the downstairs, put in a new refrigerator/freezer, rewired, removed excess cabinets, put in a splash back behind the sink, and in general, spruced up the kitchen and made it more streamlined and serviceable.
Checks for the Wednesday Supper can be sent to the church, made out to Franconia Community Church of Christ, with Wednesday Supper in the memo or you can donate with the button below. Donations of baked goods and fresh vegetables can be brought right to the church on Wednesday afternoon.
